If 45% of study participants liked dogs, 60% liked cats, and 25% liked neither, what percent liked both cats and dogs?

A. 15%
B. 20%
C. 25%
D. 30%
E. 35%

\(P(D) = 45\) , \(P(C) = 60\) & \(P(DC') = 25\)

\(P(D) + P(C) - P(DC) = 100 - P(DC')\)

\(45 + 60 - P(DC) = 100 - 25\)

Or, \(105 - 75 = P(DC)\)

Or, \(P(DC) = 30\), Answer must be (D)

IMO - E

Considering total participants = 100%

45% liked dogs;
60% liked cats,
25% liked neither,

100 = 45+65-liked both + liked neither(25)
liked both = 35%
i think you have made a cal error , is 60 not 65 answer is 30
Yes I made a calc. mistake. Thanks for correcting me.
