actually i didnt understand the question properly..does it say that assume abcd as power of 2 ??


NOPE :no

a, b, c, d are all integers of set { (2^0), (2^1), (2^2), (2^3)......(2^n)}

so a+b+c+d = 170 may be possible. Even if it is possible, we cannot say anything about the value of 'd'.

In (2), ques. refers to the product of a,b,c,d

abcd=a*b*c*d = 2^16. Again this is possible but we cannot say anything about the value of 'd'.

Using both the hints also, it is not possible.

(1) 2^k + 2^l +2^m +2^n = 170 = 2. 85 = 2(1+4+16+64)= 2(2^0+2^2+2^4+2^6)

is any permutation of

(2) k+l+m+n = 16


Combing (1) and (2) yields = any permutation of

Hence we cant find THE value of d = 2^n.
