First let us look at Statement 1.
We know that squares of 1 to 10 is 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81 and 100. We can see that none of the squares have the unit digit as '8'. Similarly for any other number also, its square would not have unit digit as 8 as all the numbers will end with number 0 to 9.
Hence, we can say that, if unit digit of A is 8 then its square root would surely not be an integer.
Statement 1 satisfies.

Statement 2: we have 36, which is divisible by 6 and also has an integer square root. But 42, which is divisible by 6, doesn't have an integer square root.
So, Statement 2 doesn't give us any valid information.

Hence, the answer will be A.

A --> units digint is 8 , if you see the Squares of numbers no Square ends with : 8 , hence sqrt of the number cannot be an integer

B --> Number being divisible by 6 does not give any info of the number being a perfect square or not

Answer is : A

A for me too.

took me long to get cases .

B was easy to eliminate with numbers 24 and 36
