Let Aisha age=A,Suki Age=S
A=(1/3)S
statement 1:
A+15=S+15
Two equations ,two variables,Sufficient.

Two equations ,two variables,Sufficient

Ans:D

To find Aishas age

Aisha’s age is exactly a third of Suki’s => A = \(\frac{S}{3}\) => 3A = S

Statement 1

In 15 years, Aisha will be as old as Suki.

=> A + 15 = S + 15

=> A = S

From question stem we have 3A = S

=> A = S = 0

Statement 1 is sufficient

Statement 2

5 years ago, Suki was 4 times older than Aisha

4(A-5) = S-5

=> 4A = S + 15

=> 4A = 3A + 15

=> A = 15

Statement 2 is sufficient

Hence option D

How is statement 1 possible at all? Even though by calculating we get A=S=0, but how is this possible logically?
