Squaring both the sides gives us non square-root terms.
Statement I and Statement II alone are not sufficient obviously.
Both put together will give us a certain value(say x) on RHS, although we dont need to solve it.
H^2 - H = x
H^2 - H - x = 0
This is a quadratic equation and we will have two values for H and hence two values for 3H.

That's a good way to solve the problem.
Still, you need to calculate the value of "x".
If value of x were -1/4, H^2 - H - x = 0 would have equal roots. That's actually a common trap in GMAT.
