Statement I:

m = odd, Let n = even

then (–1)^m+ (–1)^n+ (–1)^m X (–1)^n = -1

m = odd, Let n = odd

then (–1)^m+ (–1)^n+ (–1)^m X (–1)^n = -1.

Similarly, we can try for Statement II.

Hence, each statement is Sufficient.
