2. \(m = 6.2*10^n\)

Asked: What is the value of m?

(1) \(6*10^3 < m < 5*10^5\)
m>6*10^3 = > m>6.2*10^2
m<5*10^5 = > m<6.2*10^5
m = 3 or 4
NOT SUFFICIENT

(2) \(m^2 = 3.844*10^9\)
m = \sqrt{38.44}*10^4
m = 6.2*10^4
SUFFICIENT

Are the 2 options supposed to reference n and not m, otherwise they give straight solutions.

1. m is between 6k and 500k, obviously not a specific value of m => not sufficient
2. m^2 allows for a solution for a specific value of m => sufficient

while we take square root for st 2 - will it not give a +/- answer?

But m=6.2*10^n, so m will always be positive....
