If Q is a positive integer, is 300 a factor of Q?
(1) 250 is a multiple of Q.
(2) 250 is a factor of Q.
Question Stem :- we need to see if Q has atleast one 3, two 5's and two 2's in its prime factorization.
Statement 1)
250 is a multiple of Q can be written as Q.m = 250 (where m is an integer) => \(m = \frac{250}{Q}\) => Q can not have 3 in its prime factorization since if it had it will not yield an integer.
Sufficient
Statement 2)
250 is a factor of Q can be written as \(\frac{Q}{250} = m\) (where m is an integer) => Q = 250*m
Now m can be any integer i.e. it can be 6 which will imply Q = 1500 and 300 would be a factor of Q but if it is 1 then Q will be 250 and 300 would not be factor of Q

Given: Q is a positive integer
Target question: Is 300 a factor of Q?
Statement 1: 250 is a multiple of Q
In other words, Q is a FACTOR of 250
So, Q = 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 125 or 250
Aside: In order for 300 to be a factor of Q, we need Q to be greater than or equal to 300
This means 300 is NOT a factor of any of the possible values of Q.
So, the answer to the target question is NO, 300 is NOT a factor of Q
Since we can answer the target question with certainty, statement 1 is SUFFICIENT
Statement 2: 250 is a factor of Q
In other words, Q is a MULTIPLE of 250
So, Q = 250 or 500 or 750 or 1000 or...
Let's test some possible values of Q:
Case a: If Q = 250, the answer to the target question is NO, 300 is NOT a factor of Q
Case b: If Q = 1500, the answer to the target question is YES, 300 is a factor of Q
Since we cannot answer the target question with certainty, statement 2 is NOT SUFFICIENT
