Statement1 P=1-p
2p=1
p=1/2 sufficient

Statement : of course infinite values are possible.

If Probability that the event occurs = p
Probability that the event does not occur = 1-p

From S1: p = 2 (1-p)
or p = 2-2p
or 3p = 2
or p = 2/3

Sufficient

S2: 1- p <0.4
Hence, p >0.6
Since, p can take different values ranging from >0.6 to 1, no unique value. hence, Insufficient
