A very straightforward question. Just have to cross multiply the numbers to get to the answer.

Given that \(\frac{3x}{5y} = \frac{4}{7}\)

\(\frac{x}{y} = \frac{4 * 5}{7 * 3} = \frac{20}{21}\)

\(\frac{3x}{5y}=\frac{4}{7}\)
\(\frac{3x}{5y}*\frac{5}{3}=\frac{4}{7}*\frac{5}{3}\)
\(\frac{x}{y}=\frac{20}{21}\)

\(\frac{3x}{5y} = \frac{4}{7}\)

So, \(\frac{x}{y} = \frac{4*5}{7*3}=\frac{20}{21}\), Answer must be (D)
