factorizing, we get values of x = 3 or x=2

1) x ≠ 1, it can be 3 or 2 Not suff
2) x ≠ 2, x can only be 3 now suff

x^2 – 5x + 6 = 0 ==> x^2 – 3x -2x + 6 =0 ==>(x-3)(x-2)=0 ==> x=2 or 3
(1) x ≠ 1 - Not Sufficient- as x could still be 2 or 3.
(2) x ≠ 2 - Sufficient- as x could only be 3 now.
Hence the answer is B.

x^2 - 5x + 6 =0
(x-3) (x-2) = 0

Statement 1 : Doesn't give any info on answer choices, Insufficient.
Statement 2 : x is not eqaul to 2, Therefore x=3. Sufficient.

Answer Option B is correct

x can either be 2 or 3.

St 1 is clearly not sufficient.

St 2 says x is not 2, therefore, we can conclude that x is 3
