IMO E

x = 3^2 = 9

x^x = 9^9 = 3^18

Simplify x first.

\(x = 3^2 = 9\)

\(x^x = 9^9 = (3^2)^9 = 3^{18}\)

My reasoning:

\(3^{2* 3^2}\)

This becomes 3^18

Since x = 9, and since 9 = 3^2, we have:

9^9 = (3^2)^9 = 3^18

Answer: E
