A. 3^4
B. 3^8
C. 3^9
D. 3^12
E. 3^18

My reasoning:

\(3^{2* 3^2}\)

This becomes 3^18

Answer choice E

Since x = 9, and since 9 = 3^2, we have:

9^9 = (3^2)^9 = 3^18
