Hi,
x/4 years ago he was 14 ..
x/4 years after he will be 4x..
so x/4 + x/4 = 4x-14...
x/2=4x-14..
or 7x=28 or x=4...

so we have to say what will he be 5x,5*4, from now..

Important step to check todays age...
x/4, 4/4, years ago he was 14 ..
so he is 14+1=15 today..

after 5*4,20, he will be 15+20=35..

Assume the current age = a

a - x/4 = 14 (i)
a + x/4 = 4x
Or a = 15x/4 (ii)

Putting the value of a from (ii) in (i)

15x/4 - x/4 = 14
Or 14x/4 = 14 Therefore x = 4 and a = 15

5x years from now, age will be 15 + 5*4 = 35
