Clearly we require to know both the values, and the statement combined too do not give an answer..
If x=0.1 and y=5..ans is NO
If y=0.1 and y = 100..ans is YES

(1) x is less than 1.
--> We don't know anything about y --> Insufficient

(2) y is greater than 1
--> We don't know anything about x --> Insufficient

Combining (1) & (2),
x < 1 & y > 1

Case 1: Let x = 0.5 & y = 100 --> xy = 50 > 1 --> Yes
Case 2: Let x = 0.05 & y = 2 --> xy = 0.1 < 1 --> No
--> Insufficient
