If x is a perfect square, is x also a perfect cube?

(1) x=k6x=k6, where k is a positive integer.
(2) x(16)=nx(16)=n, where n is a positive integer.

Both statement are sufficient as x = k^6 = (k^2)^3
n^6 = (n^2)^3

Hey Bunuel can you please explain what would happen if k&n were not given as positive integers, and only as integers?
