As absolute value is always non negative,
we have to find x such that its square is close to 33
if x = 6, x^2 = 36
here |33−x^2| = 3, this is the least value. Answer B

( if the restriction on x to be integer not there , least value would be 0, when x = root 33 )

For it to have a least possible value, you need to consider the modulus . 6^2 gives 36 which when subtracted by 33 gives 3 thereby providing with 3 as the least possible value.
