If \(x + y + z = 8\) and \(3x + 2y + 4z = 25\), what is the value of \(z\) ?
\((1) 12z = 75 - 9x - 6y\)
\((2) 6yz = y^2 + 9z^2\)

Two unique linear equations with 3 variables.
Another unique linear equation should give us value of all 3 variables.
\((1) 12z = 75 - 9x - 6y\)
25 in \(3x + 2y + 4z = 25\) and 75 here should force you to check whether the two equations are similar.
In normal circumstances too, simplify equations to check whether the two are similar.
Here, \(3x + 2y + 4z = 25\) multiplied by 3 will give you \((1) 12z = 75 - 9x - 6y\)
Insufficient
\((2) 6yz = y^2 + 9z^2\)
This is
\(y^2+9z^2-6yz=0........(y-3z)^2=0.......y=3z\)
Now we can get all values.

I often find it difficult to spot and convert a quadratic equation to a liner equation. Do you have any suggestion as to how I could improve upon it?
