The question can be rephrased as (x+y)/xy=?
1: we can conclude x+y=-1. Insufficient
2: we can rearrange to give (x+y)/xy=1/6. Sufficient

=>1=-x-y
=>x+y = -1 (no enough information)
=> Insufficient
(2) xy=6(x+y)
1/x+1/y=(x+y)/xy
xy=6(x+y)

=> sufficient
=> answer is B
