Since we are looking for RANGE of x, lets get the equation in terms of y..
Ofcourse we can eliminate A and B straightway..
as y is not limited in lower values , x will also have no limit downwards..
\(\frac{y}{2}= 3x − 4 ...........\\
or x = (\frac{y+8)}{6}\)..
let y be 4, x will be 12/6 = 2, but since y <4, x will also be <2..
ans x<2

However Bunuel, I feel true for all values of x should mean if x<2, then x<4 will also be true for x<2 and x<3 will also be true for any value of x..

\(\frac{y}{2}\) = \(3x − 4\)
\(y\) = \(6x − 8\)
For y < 4
6x must be less than 12
So, 6x < 12
Or, x < 2
So Answer will be (C)
