At our assessment day we couldn't attend a class and neither meet the students (they had some kind of presentation to prepare). I would be intertested to hear the feedback from other group who were interviewed on the 20th and 23rd!!!

PS: need to shake up this forum a little

Any more people beside me and Stephane going to Lausanne for 3rd April assessment day?

vd9, I sent an e-mail to Marine and Lucy and asked them to pass on my contact details to fellow candidates. We then got in touch via e-mail and co-ordinated from there. It's much easier as many people don't seem to use gmatclub. You may want to do something similar. Both Marine and Lucy are really responsive and accommodating even though I suspect it does cause them some extra work.

i attended the "assessment day" on the 23rd....there were about 6 of us (all male) representing 5 different nationalities.....for the interview and assessment - all i can say is check out posts by last years applicants ...they are really detailed, comprehensive and describe the entire experience quite well......the interview is very informal and IMD does a great job to thoroughly read your application and in some cases, will have specific questions regarding your work experience or app essays......make sure you know your app inside out and ofcourse your motivations and reasoning to go to (specifically) IMD......

Personally, before the assessment I was really stressed about the impromptu presentation but it's not that bad at all......again as you probably already know, the focus of this presentation is your communication, presentation and logical skills.....you dont have to be a subject matter expert in business to be able to tackle it.....

make sure you read the prepared case study a few times and think about the kind of questions that might come up.........i know all this is really generic advice but again, check out last year's posts and you'll find some comprehensive advice from the current students.....

we attended Prof. Benoit's class (which btw - every alumni I met was raving abt) and it was awesome! he's got a very unique style of teaching and approaching entrepreneurship and there's lots of energy in that auditorium....

Finally, enjoy the day because you get to learn a lot from the 5 or 6 other applicants who are with you and the entire experience is definitely worth the visit......now, hoping it works out for everyone from our assessment day and good luck to the rest of the group!

To answer some concerns from suraabhi about the chances of being accepted if you are Indian. I have to say you have more change to be accepted if you are Indian that if you are French !
Only 3 French (and a half) this year but we have 5 indians + 4 of Indians origin (from UK, Singapore, Canada), it is definitely the biggest group we have here after the chinese (if grouped with Hong Kong and Taiwan).

I also got my acceptance call from Lisa, the director of admissions, yesterday April 3rd, after my March 23rd interview. I know that at least 4 of the 6 candidates in our group got their acceptance calls.
