I had my interview with Margaret O'Neill, an external MBA admission consultant. She was very lovely and nice. The interview was very conversational and focused on my story/career progression. I would say it's a culture fit check rather than a knowledge check.
- Tell me about yourself (She told me she has read my CV only. She didn’t get my essay from the ad comm, so she will need to ask a lot of questions to understand more about me.)
- Why did you switch industries? (I switched industries twice)
- From what you mentioned, you get job opportunities from referral often. What is the quality that sets you apart and makes people constantly want to refer you to their company? (I mentioned that I got job offers from a referral from my ex-colleague and ex-clients.)
- Short-term career goal
- Which locations and why?
- Long-term career goal
- Why MBA?
- Why Now?
- Why Imperial?
- What is your plan B, if your career doesn’t work out the way you want?
- Describe your leadership style
- If you have to work with or lead an inefficient team members, what would you do?
- Tell me about a time you fail
- Is there anything you really need to work on or still lacking coming in to the Imperial MBA? How would you develop these areas while studying in the program?
- Anything you want to ask. (She said she is an external consultant and couldn’t provide any specific details about the program since the beginning of the interview. So, I didn’t ask any questions but told her that I will contact the adcom directly.)
The interview lasted for exactly 30 minutes.

Interviewed with the head of adcom via Zoom
(he was 12 minutes late I thought I was confused by the time zone and almost had a heart attack)
-Why MBA Why now and why Imperial? (didn't ask me to "tell me about yourself" at all)
-team work questions, what you like the most about team work and what are the challenges and how you address conflict
-moment you demonstrated leadership
-navigating challenges
-failure
-on a scale of 1-10 how achievable are your goals
-things you will do now and during the program
-the challenge the industry is facing
-the best recent invention within your industry
-how do you keep up with the general business
-questions for him
There were more questions but these are the highlights and the ones that I remember the most.
He asked a lot more and some of the questions were flowing from the conversation but some clearly were pre-written and he needed to ask all of them.
The interview was somewhat conversational and he was pretty easy to talk to. Scheduled for 30 but went on for 45.

I believe that the first two are something about goals after mba. And I also remember that the last question, which is pretty unique, asking about in case you miss your first goal after MBA (since in previous question I've to talk something about goals after MBA), what is your second plan?

I finished my interview 30mins back and went really well in my opinion. My interviewer was Crystal, very nice lady. Questions asked were pretty much straight forward:
- why MBA,
- why Imperial,
- What unique attribute do you bring to the class etc.
No tricky questions
