Importance of IR for INSEAD

Hi everyone
My GMAT score is 740 (49 Quant & 41 Verbal but 5 IR). I am very keen for applying to INSEAD but I keep reading that they prefer if one has a minimum of 6 in IR. I would like to understand if they actually place so much importance on this that I might be at a disadvantage because of this reason.
I had consistently scored 8 of 8 in IR in all my mocks. For some reason I missed answering the last question in the actual GMAT and I am assuming I was heavily penalised for that.
Thanks for your replies in advance.

Hi,
I met a high-ranking member of Insead's ad committee for coffee in my city a few weeks ago and he explained that through their internal data analysis, they realized women with low/mediocre quant scores but high IR scores (7 or 8) performed just as well in the program as their male counterparts with very high quant scores.
I think, to them, it is a lot more than just a benchmark and it is more of a way to level the playing field. INSEAD is BIG on diversity. Therefore, I think it would less important in the evaluation of your candidacy than it would be in mine, given that I have a Q44 and an IR of 7.

Hi Shalom1994 are you saying this because you know the original poster is female or are you saying that either a high IR score or a high quant score is necessary but not both?
