Hi everyone,
I tried to search for this topic on the forum, but couldn't find any.
I'm applying to LSE MSc Accounting & Finance, and I must provide two academic references. I have nominated two part-time professors as my referees since I performed really well in their courses and have a good relationship with them. One has an MBA from HBS and is well known in industry, having appeared on publications such as Forbes. The other referee is a PhD candidate who has a lot of teaching experience and has papers due to be published soon. Nonetheless, they are relatively unknown in academia.
My question is, do schools like LSE, LBS and Duke care as much about the academic reputation of the professors, or is the content of the reference letters more important. I would not be able to find a "reputable" professor from my school anytime soon, and wonder if using these two part-time instructors would weaken my application.
Thanks!
