hello all,

I would like to ask regarding the potential risk in improving my TOEFL score.
I took the test several months ago and got 105 ( but with below 25 in some sections). I wanted to improve my chances with Columbia and take it again.
would you say that there is some potential risk if my score will be lower in the second test? I've heard that Columbia accepts the higher score.Is it correct? what would you recommend me to do? Would 105 suffices?

Have you checked on the Columbia website as to what is the minimum TOEFL score they need, and also the minimum for each section ?

Unfortunately, they don't publish the necessary breakdown and overall requirement.

You can ask ETS to report your highest score when you order a test report to any university.

Your English seems pretty good, I wonder why you've scored so low. However, the most important is the fact that you are willing to study. Watch movies in which the speech is English, read, watch Discovery and Animal Planet (if possible), write down every single word that is unfamiliar to you. Regardless of the amount of time spent on each activity, PERSEVERANCE is extremely crucial. I repeat, CONSISTENCY and PERSEVERANCE are vital.

You need minimum 110 score and at least 25 and above in each.
