Hi guys,
I gave my first attempt about 10 days back and secured a 710 (v41, Q46) on the GMAT.
Just to give you some background info - I studied for about 3 months, and focused slightly more on on Quant as I knew my verbal was not too bad.
I know I'm not a Q51 student, and my practice tests confirmed that. I started with a 45 on my first test, got a couple of 47s and I managed to hit 49 on one of the Gmat Prep tests (where I scored a 750).
For my first prep, I did all the
OG 13 and
OG 13 review questions, I went through the
MGMAT guides and did the Question Pack 1 questions. I was particular about doing official questions as I thought there were enough of them to not necessitate focusing on unofficial questions. I tried to stay away from very hard questions as they tend to demotivate me.
Now, I plan to retake the test in 20 days time (I have not booked it yet, but I thought 20 days should be enough), as I am fairly confident I can recreate a 40+ verbal, so if I can improve my quant, and considering I got a 46, I would think there's quite a lot of room for improvement even if I am not looking at a 51 score. I just wanted to know how I should go about doing this? What would you guys suggest as the best material I should take up over the next 3 weeks or so?
Looking forward to hearing from the members here!
Thanks.
