The population is 15,000 in 1990. Let, p=15,000
The time is 10 years and the rate at which the population increases every year is 5%.

Therefore, population prediction in 2000 = 15,000(1+5/100)^10

= (1.05)^10 * (15,000)

The answer is E.

1year: 1000people*1.05=1050
2year: 1050people*1.05 or 1000people*1.05^2=1102.5

Answer: E
