If we consider 100 chocolates, there will be 10 white chocolates which are spoiled, that means probability of spoiled white chocolate will be 1/10, which is option A,


Bt ans given is option D, can someone explain the reason plz?

White \(= 40\) ; Dark \(= 60\)

Spoiled white \(= 10\) ; Spoiled dark \(= 6\)

Total spoiled \(= 16\)

\(= \frac{10}{16} => \frac{5}{8}\), Answer will be hence (D)

Can someone help explain something to me here:

The question is asking for the probability that a spoiled chocolate chosen at random is white.

Total Chocolates = 100
W=40 D=60
25% of W is spoiled = 10
10% of D is spoiled = 6

The question is asking - What is the probability that a SPOILED chocolate chosen at random (out of the 100 total chocolates) is WHITE? Therefore, wouldn't the answer be 6/100 (6%), simplified to 3/50?

What am I missing here? Thanks for any help you can give me
