Congrats to all 4 of you..go ahead party lot!!
Also share your experience with us 2008 applicants.

My INSEAD application process was pretty relaxed and focussed since I had applied to only 1 school. I finished my GMAT in December'06 and started working on my essays by mid Feb to meet the 28th March deadline. I also visited the INSEAD campus around mid March.

The interview was quite good. The interviewer was very friendly and it was quite obvious that he really enjoyed his time at INSEAD. Other than the standard questions (whyINSEAD, why MBA, why now, which other schools you applied to, how did you do your research for INSEAD, what did I do outside work), he asked questions mainly about my work. At the end of the interview, he told me that he thought I was a strong candidate and would certainly recommend me - so that made waiting for the final result a lot easier.

Overall, I really enjoyed my INSEAD application process.

2 interviews is a norm for INSEAD. Normally they will have 1 interview if there are not enough alumni in a particular region. And recently, I think INSEAD has started doing so for people with strong profiles - but this is just based on my guess and observation.

Yes I also interviewed with 2 alumni. I think in a way its better that you have 2 interviews because:
1. If one doesn't go well you have a chance to improve in the 2nd one
2. You can use the experience of the 1st interview somewhat in the 2nd one.
3. INSEAD will get feedback about you from 2 independent sources rather than one.

good luck!

SM/gmatmba, Congrats both of you. SM -> INSEAD or Kellogg eh? (I responded to mail though I was confused..). Guess your choice will depend on your geo preference.

I've already had a INSEAD alum + admit gathering, and it was great. All the alums were doing really well, and they all loved the year. I'm looking forward to my time!

Congratulations for three of YOU....Kuddos!!

What is the winning formula for INSEAD??

a) GMAT ?
B) Work Ex?
c) Ofcourse Essays.

Does 720 + 10 years of Work Ex (7 years in Mgmt) works? or a overkill?

Throw some light !

Good GMAT + Good international experience + good work experience + good essays + good justification of your need for an MBA

10 years of work experience should be fine (specially if you have management experience), since average age of INSEAD students is higher than those of US schools.
