Hi guys,
I just got my GMAT online score today - 660 (Q42,V38). While 660 is an okay score for applying to most of my targetted schools, I am a little apprehensive about the Quant percentile. I have come to know that colleges 'might'/'mostly' look for at least a 50 percentile in both Quant and Verbal. So, I am considering retaking in center GMAT next week.
Do you guys think I can improve from a Q42 to a Q46-47 (while also maintaining the verbal V38) in a week's time? My main issues are time management, silly mistakes and test anxiety.
I thought of waiting till October start to sit for a second Online GMAT - that would have given me ample time to improve my skills, but I think I would most probably cross the R1 deadline of most colleges in that case,right?
Please let me know your comments and suggestions. Really really need them!

I too was going through a similar problem and I think you can improve in one month easily from Q42 to Q46 or to Q49 by just focussing on your mistakes and mastering those basic concept. As you said you have a time management problem in quants. One solution is do timed practice any question in which you exceed 2:00 should be given extra attention and put in error log, because if you crossed 2:00 you would cross 2:00 on actual gmat too on a similar question. Also I haven't applied yet, though i plan to sooner or later but many colleges do give you a chance to submit your application and give gmat scores later, like a temporary waiver. And even if they don't you can always apply in R2.
