Interesting question. Being a little careful when seeing fewer than statements could be helpful since they could potentially restrict things enough to, for example, know how many games were played.
Here, the answer is (E) because, even if the total number of games is fewer than 10, you can get a total of 104 points if
2 games are played in which both games are won resulting in 104
7 games are played in which 5 games are won (+10 points) and 2 games are lost (-6 points) resulting in 104
