Hi shridhar,

I agree with you. I missed the parallel construction marker 'and' while analysing. Thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks

Can anyone help me to explain why A is correct here? Leave behind parallelism structure, football coach , musicians are people while an appeal is not implied to describe a type of person here? Am I right?

Abhi077 GMATNinjaTwo - Would be great if you could share your expert views on the last question. The 3 entities do not seem "logically" parallel here to me as well?

Thanks

football coach, musicians are people but grammatically they are NOUN : so we have to look for 3rd noun to make it parallel, which is Appeal :
football coach- musicians- appeal are parallel

Hi, they are definitely grammatically parallel but are they logically parallel? We are comparing coaches and musicians (Professions/People) to "an appeal" (An Action).

Had there been "and" before "musicians", would option B be correct then?

In its most popular episode, the TV show ‘Them & I' featured a football coach who cared for his Alzheimer’s stricken wife, and musicians who wrote a song for a vegetable-themed children’s movie, and appealed to donate old toys to poor children.

making "featured" and "appealed" parallel as:
featured (a football coach) and (musicians), and appealed...
