1. Featured a) Football coach
b) Musicians
2. Appealed

I believe Choice B presents the accurate meaning as per the above understanding.

the TV show featured a football coach, musicians, and an appeal
all are noun and perfectly parallel (correct)

B. appealed

one can be tempted here and mark this as correct answer ---because it seems featured and appealed are parallel to each other but this is not the case
the sentence says that the tv shows feature 3 things and list out those three things parallelism is over there

C. appealing
incorrect parallelism ---we need noun,noun, and noun---appealing is adjective so is not parallel

D. he has appealed
incorrect parallelism and what does he refers to

E. that he has appealed
incorrect parallelism--the TV show featured a football coach, musicians, and that he has appealed

Can anyone help me to explain why A is correct here? Leave behind parallelism structure, football coach , musicians are people while an appeal is not implied to describe a type of person here? Am I right?

football coach, musicians are people but grammatically they are NOUN : so we have to look for 3rd noun to make it parallel, which is Appeal :

Hi, they are definitely grammatically parallel but are they logically parallel? We are comparing coaches and musicians (Professions/People) to "an appeal" (An Action).

Had there been "and" before "musicians", would option B be correct then?

making "featured" and "appealed" parallel as:
