(2) 10 of these members of the faculty do not coach girls' sports.

Given: all 30 the members coached someone, know one was left doing nothing. Also, did not coach boys, so they must be coaching girls.

(1) The 30 members of the faculty who coach boys' or girls' sports or both represent 60% of the total faculty members. This is out of scope, it says nothing about who coached who..; insufficient.

(2) 10 of these members of the faculty do not coach girls' sports. If 18 didn't coach boys, then 12 must have coached girls; If 10 didn't coach girls, then 2 must have coached both (because all members must coach at least one); sufficient.
