This is an older post but there's an additional good takeaway about how to study for CR and RC.
In quant, answers are right or wrong -- so delving deep to understand why an answer is correct can be useful to building your skills.
In verbal, usually it's about ranking answer choices. When you're studying and doing practice questions, don't get too bogged down in micro-analysing the correct answer. Try to get an understanding how the choices get ranked and on what parameters: relevance to argument, direction relative to the argument, ambiguity, specific details etc.
Don't let one question take up 15 minutes of your time microanalysing every detail. It will prove to be a waste of prep time -- just get a sense of the right approach and move one. You'll never see another question with the same topic/logic combination again, so the big takeaway lies in the approach to analysing options. Make sure you spend time reviewing the process of assessing answer choices across multiple practice questions.
