since 2a+b = 180 and b=40
=> a=70.

From the figure x=a+b
x=110.

Angle X and angle a+b are correspoding angles. Means X = A+B.
Since, A+B+A = 180. and B = 40.
A becomes 70.

Therefore angle X = 40+70 = 110.

B is the answer

2a+b=180
a=70

a+x=180
x=110

It is a simple question of parallel lines.
The above angle x is same as below b+a since lines are parallel

2a+b = 180 (measure of a line)

Solve and x = 110
