CO is the height = radius = 4.

AB is the base = diameter = 8.

Area = 1/2*b*h = 16.

area of the triangle would be

0.5 * 8 * 4
= 16

AB = 2*4 = 8

Hence
(AC)2 + (BC)2 = (AB)2

Hence AC = \sqrt{32} and BC = \sqrt{32}

hence area =1/2 * \sqrt{32} * \sqrt{32}

= 16 (D)
