Slope=(3-0)/(2-0) since line has points( 3,2) and (0,0) .So slope=3/2
Using slope to find y,
$$y_{2}-y_{1}\div x_{2}-x_{1}$$=(4.8-3)/(y-2)=3/2
Solving we get y=3.2

Slope of line through points (0,0) and (3,2)=Slope of line through points (0,0) and (4.8,y)
Or, $$\frac{2}{3}=\frac{y}{4.8}$$
Or, 3y=2*4.8
Or, $$y=\frac{2*4.8}{3}$$=3.2

Since points (3,2) and (x,y) lie on the same line, we can equate their slopes.
Slope of line between (0,0) and (3,2) = 2/3.
Slope of line between (0,0) and (4.8,y) = y/4.8
Equating the two;

2/3 = y/4.8
1.6(2) = y
3.2 =y
