Every point on the line perpendicular to PQ passing through O (the mid point of PQ) would be equidistant from P and Q.

How can we assume that line is going to pass mid point of given points.
As soon as I read the question, I started applying following concept of coordinate geometry that I had learnt and got -2/3 only to find no option matching my answer.
I wasted good 10-12 mins on the problem, applied 3-4 more methods, including trigonometry, congruent triangles and got -2/3 every time.
I don't see any discrepancy in the method annexed.
How can we assume that line is going to pass mid point of given points.
