In Town X, 64 percent of the population are employed, and 48 percent of the population are employed males. What percent of the employed people in Town X are females?

A. 16%
B. 25%
C. 32%
D. 40%
E. 52%

out of 100, 64 are employed
48 out of 100 are employed males
therefore, employed females are 64-48=16% of the population

I think its B 25%...coz here the question is asking for percentage of employed people not percentage of total population..... wats the QA?

16/64 *100=25%

In Town X, 64 percent of the population are employed, and 48 percent of the population are employed males. What percent of the employed people in Town X are females?

A.16%
B.25%
C.32%
D.40%
E.52%

1000 total population, 640 employed , 360 unemployed, 480 are emplyed males

640 = 480+ emplyed females

employed females = 160 , 160/640*100 = 25%...B
