Gerund versus infinitive is tested on the GMAT and it’s a fairly straightforward test.
1. Mini verbs can be formed by either infinitive or gerund and GMAT will not test these situations because it tries to be pretty clear and clean.
2. Some verbs must be followed by infinitive. These verbs will be tested.
3. Sam must be followed by gerund and this will be tested.
4. Finally, some verbs can be followed by either gerund or infinitive but the meaning changes depending on which one you use.
