I also got an interview invite. My profile: GMAT 670, 5.5 yrs WE (4.5 yrs Intn'l exp), IT services consultant and project leader.
I am so happy (considering my low GMAT score)

I also have a low GMAT score. Though I am still thinking of retaking the GMAT. but at the moment I'm focusing myself on the essays.
I hope I can be as lucky as you are

When I went to visit fonty, I was told that as long as you hit the 75% percentile in both, you're good to go and you should focus on the rest of your app. That's why I never went back to retake it, though I had a horrible day before the exam and I know I can do better.
But the separate thing I would consider is how typical are you. If you're an applicant that's in a over-represented group (you can look at the sept thread to see what kind of people are applying and getting accepted, but if you're Indian, male, and in IT, then you have an uphill battle) and you've never run a team of people (of different cultures ideally). have never lived on a few continents, or shown other leadership/international outlook/diversity qualities, then you might want to pump up the GMAT to at least above 80% in verbal and quant, just because all things equal (and I mean all, which includes ability to speak, presence, focus on goals, etc that they get from the interviews), they may get back to splitting hairs on GMAT scores. To what degree, I don't know, as I don't know what the adcom magic formula is to get the full score on academics. All we know as mere mortals is that it counts 25% of your overall, and GMAT matters a lot more than GPA.
