Waiting to have a date for the 2nd interview....I had my 1st interview last week, but have yet to get the contacts of my 2nd interviewer (after the original 2nd interviewer couldn't do it). Anyone else in the same situation?

7 years WE: 2 years finance, 2 years global audit, 2.5 years in leveraged finance. Worked in France, Japan, and China... traveled to 32 countries. I'm hoping my international experience would offset my so-so GMAT and EC :/

Good luck every one!

Won't be surprised if people get calls on 15 Dec, that is TWO more weeks!

Hi, guys.
Finally finished both my interviews on the same day today, the experiences had been positive I think. Both of my first two interviewers were not available due to scheduling conflicts and I had to fly to another city near by to finish my interviews.

The first interviewer was a venture captalist. The interview was very casual and we briefly went over, why mba, why INSEAD, career goals, then I started to ask some questions about INSEAD campus life, career services, job hunting and how INSEAD have helped the interviewer's career. It took about an hour in total. My advice would be to prepare questions for the interviewers and get them to talk about the things you won't know from INSEAD's website. After all, the interview should go both ways.

My second interviewer was a senior executive in a industry closely related to what my current company is doing. Yhe questions were a bit tougher. There weren't any direct questions about why MBA, why not, why INSEAD, I only tried to insert them into other questions where I find a chance. The questions was more like case studies directly related to the business model with my current company, such as why do I think the senior managements have made certain choices and what do I think about the outcomes on those activities. I feel that it was not easy to answer because I really have only worked on the technical side of those business activities in my company. I tried my best to answer them with what I understand. I don't think he was really looking at whether the answers were right or wrong, but rather to see how I react. After all, I feel it was still positive because we spent almost 3 hours together exchanging our views. If he didn't like me, the interview would have ended way earlier. :)

I am still waiting for my flight at airport and I will update roll call for R2 once I get home...

Good luck everyone!!!

I'm probably too old for this school, but I hope to get at least to the interviews ;)

Wow..80 countries @ 26. That's a rather unique work experience. Hope you won't miss it after an MBA

when did you get your confirmation? I submitted yesterday few hours before deadline and haven't got the "Your application is complete" email.. should I be worried? I got the upload receipt after I hit submit (and payment confirmation) and that's it.

My transcript arrived yesterday at noon local France time according to DHL..

You don't need to worry about confirmation email yet. Mine took a week after I submitted.

congrats on the experience sounds awesome. Sorry to say though you are not in the same boat at all - being a male/female makes a big difference as more programs try to get more females also 7 years WE and 3 years WE make a big difference for INSEAD. In any case though your profile sounds great and I wish you best of luck. Unless your gpa is lower than 3.0 the only thing that you will need to offset is your age and WE and fortunately that can easily be fixed after two or so more years :)

Well, I got mine today at 5pm Paris time. Actually, I was quite surprised to get so rapidly - I thought it would take several days. I think you shouldn't be worried, it's just the question of rapidity and level of charge of the admission coordinators. By the way, the mine is Anne Nigl.
