I just had a meeting with my first interviewer at the coffee shop. He is a General Manager for Kimberley-Clark. From the very first time we met, he asked me to be relax and said it is not a job interview but more a discussion of what my passion is.
The meeting began with me telling a short story about myself, with him occasionally interrupted me when he wanted to ask something. Then he asked the usual questions of why MBA, why INSEAD, and why now.
In the end, he said to me that the purpose of the meeting is not to judge how smart and talented the applicant is, but to find out whether the applicant has the right attitude required for INSEAD. The right attitude in his definition is the ability to interact with students from different nationalities while maintaining a high level of tolerance.
He also said that my acceptance to INSEAD will be decided more from how well my application is.
That's it! In my personal opinion, it was a 50:50 chance, so fingers crossed.
