Hi guys,
I have just completed my undergrad degree in PPE at the LSE. I have been offered a place for both INSEAD MiM and the Data Science and Business Analytics programme which is a double degree degree between ESSEC (business school) and CentraleSupélec (engineering school). I am hesitating between both.
INSEAD has an amazing reputation and a strong network, and I want to work in management roles in the future.
However, the other course will allow me to study data science in depth. Although I don’t want to pursue a career in this field and am not totally comfortable with this discipline, I understand that skills in data analytics are incredibly relevant in the future business landscape, and recruiters are increasingly looking for individuals who can apprehend both business acumen and data science.
I am having a really hard time deciding and would appreciate any piece of advice!
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I have a master degree from ESSEC and know quite well their partnership with Centrale/Supelec. My partner is also from Centrale Paris (before they merged with Supelec). Although I'm applying for INSEAD and very fond of the school, I think that the double diploma ESSEC - Centrale/Supelec is very interesting since it'll give your profile a tint of "engineering", which is very appreciated in France and EU in general. FYI, CentraleSupelec is one of the most "prestigious" engineering schools in France, alongside with Polytechnic, Ponts, Mines, etc. which are quite difficult to get in with a "business/non-engineering" profile.
However, please take into account also your personal preference and other aspects (financial, previous experiences, etc.). The diploma is just, somehow, the beginning of your professional career. Also, even though you can switch career path later on, the master/MBA program that you choose will give you a network and a good launch in your professional life in the designated industry after school. If you choose a program or a path for its "prestige" or "necessity" without any personal attachment for it, you'll unhappy for the rest of your career doing t a job that you don't like to pay off your student loan and it would be a waste for your true talent. Well, just my two cents, and maybe I exaggerated a little bit but I hope you'll get the idea
All the best
