Took the PowerPrep . . . It was actually more difficult than I had expected. Ended up with a 740 (Q:49, V:42) despite getting the first math problem wrong (dope!) and two of the first three verbal problems wrong (dope! dope!).
Anyway, assuming the algorithm is correct, this certainly makes a case for NOT spending a disproportionate amount of time on the first ten problems as is suggested. It actually seems possible to "rebound" from a couple early mistakes.
Also, when you take out the experimental questions, the percentage you actually need to get correct to score above 700 is not as high as I previously thought. I know it matters "when" you get them wrong, but I stumbled on the first couple in each section and still came out alright.
Any thoughts?
