1. Top 3 universities in singapore (NTU , NUS and INSEAD singapore). SMU too as a backup
2. Esade , IE spain and IESE in barcelona (all ask around 670-680 GMAT score)
3. INSEAD and HEC (they both require above 700 for your profile. They are the best, so you have to apply)
4. Rotterdam
5. HKUST in hong kong

Deashayu,

For Indian (Male) engineers, with a 710, we typically recommend schools ranked in the 25 - 30 range, if in the US.  ISB is 50-50 - depends on what else you have in your profile.  Your EC's are ok - they could potentially reveal deeper insights, or they could just be what they are at face value.  If there is depth that we can uncover, then your chances at ISB improve.  f you've contributed impactfully at work, your chances at ISB improve.

Feel free to reach out for a chat: https://bit.ly/GM_AugAcd_Profile_Evaluation

Hi All,
I am looking for some guidance to understand which top US/Europe Business Schools (or any other top International Business School) I can "realistically" target during 2024 admissions process at a GMAT score of 710 (GMAT Official), and with the below profile -
1. Software Engineer (Indian Male)
2. Years of Professional Experience in Fintech - 4 yrs
3. Field of MBA targetting - Technology/Finance
To be very honest my profile is not that diverse as many expect an engineer candidate applying for MBA has to have, hence I want true and honest answers for the schools which I can target (and where do those schools rank globally).
Please let me know in case you need any other detail. Looking forward to a fruitful conversation 🙂

Few pointers around my profile -

1. I am currently a Software Engineer (Tech) in a UK based Banking group - NatWest Group (formerly Royal Bank of Scotland), and have been working in the company for past 4 yrs. I received a promotion last year which came with a few leadership responsibilities as well. I am primarily aiming to be a Program Manager in Tech sector post my MBA.

2. Score : 710 (FYI - I have given 3 attempst with Score 2 and 3 both 710, and within the two this one is better in terms of IR and Q, the other 710 had a better V but a weaker Q, IR)
Q : 50
V : 35
IR : 7
AWA : 5

3. Although I am not much aware of what constitutes as a extra curricular when it comes to MBA admits (tried finding online abt it, but nothing too conclusive, everything was too subjective). But few activities I have been part of are -
   a) Undergrad Table Tennis and Volleyball College team
   b) OffSite CSR activity - Teaching underpriv children in a week long program
   c) Organized a slam poetry event during the final year of College

My realistic target is ofcourse ISB, Hyd. But really want to grab a good International School like UCLA. Please comment abt your opinion of chances for an UC colleges as well (UCLA etc..) and ISB, Hyd as well. And any other college besides them that I can target, with my set of profile.

deshayu I hope this finds you well

I like your pragmatic approach to your profile, so I would suggest casting a wide net in terms of schools. If you want a few strong options among tech-oriented schools, I'd recommend applying to Tepper, Foster, and USC in addition to UCLA. If your goal is to stay in tech and you are interested in product management at Big tech companies, you can also look at more targeted programs like the Masters of Product Management program at Tepper (MSPM). This is a one-year master's program that has better recruiting statistics for the big tech sector than the Tepper School of Business. This program was created after key recruiters in the technology sector expressed a desire for Tepper to offer a dedicated product management program from which they could recruit candidates who have a strong technical background. Please note that the class size is only 50, so applying early will yield better results. I have sent applicants with about the same GMAT score as you to this program, so I can personally recommend you to explore this.
In addition to the US, IESE and HEC Paris also offer solid options in the EU in the technology field, and 710 scores are fine for these schools if the rest of your application is good. Schools in the EU also tend to place more importance on quantitative skills than the verbal score if they really like your profile.

I am happy to advise you further on the options so feel free to speak.
