Hi All,

I am giving my GMAT in a few weeks and wanted to get a really simple question out of my way.

How should I divide my 30 minutes for the Integrated Reasoning section in the exam?

Should I skip some questions? i.e guess some? or Should I try to attempt every question with equal grit?

I think simple graphical interpretation based questions are easy and should not be left. If you find a particular question intimidating or complex, you should skip but not leave the easier ones. If you don't find yourself confortable with the language used in the question, please don't spend too much time but eliminate, guess and move on to the next question. Time management is the key in IR section.

Skipping is very risky. One thing to realize is that not every question on the IR section counts towards your score; the section does have experimental questions, just like the quant and verbal. However, because there are far fewer questions on the IR section, missing a few can have much higher variance; depending on what questions you happened to skip, your score could swing wildly! Rather than gamble, your best bet is to practice till you get the pacing down. The questions CAN be completed in the allotted time; give it your best effort, maintain a steady pace, and it's manageable.
