Hi leminhyen2,

Based on what you've described, it would make sense to wait a bit before beginning your studies. It might also be that your plans change in the coming years, so we wouldn't want you to invest a bunch of time, money and energy now if it's likely that your GMAT score would cease to be valid before you could use it. If you have any additional questions, then you can feel free to contact me directly at any time.

A lot of things can happen between now and the time you graduate from college. Maybe in a few months you will find yourself being more interested in history or whatever and change majors?

Or you will marry someone rich and stay home to be a full-time parent?
I am just giving this last example because this was a critical reasoning question I solved a few days ago. Someone in the problem said that an MBA is completely useless when you marry a rich heiress. ha ha ....

Anyway, the point here is, that it is probably way too soon to stress about the GMAT right now. Enjoy college. Try to be a great student and reevaluate your goals in 3 years or right before you graduate?

Hi leminhyen2,

Since your GMAT score only lasts for 5 years, you may consider waiting until your senior year to take the GMAT (to give yourself maximum time to use your score). However, a lot can change between now and your senior year, so the good news is that you do not have to make any decisions now about when or if you plan to take the GMAT.

If you have any further questions, you can always contact me directly. Good luck in school.
