(1) -2 < x < 3
If \(-2 < x < 3\), the value lies between -3 and 4. Hence, the statement alone is sufficient.
We can eliminate B, C, and E.
Statement 2
(2) -4 < x < 4
Case 1: -4 < x < -3
Is -3 < x < 4 → No
Case 2: -3 < x < 4
Is -3 < x < 4 → Yes
Statement 2 is not sufficient.

Does x lie between -3 and 4?
1) -2 < x < 3
For all integers here it will be a yes, even for the decimals it will be a yes since this inequality lies exactly between the inequality of the prompt, hence sufficient
2) -4 < x < 4
Quick approach here, test some cases
If x = -3, it does not lie between -3 and 4
If x = -1, it lies between -3 and 4
Since we got 2 different possibilities, this statement is not sufficient
Answer A
1) -2 < x < 3
