Is 5 the median of Set X?

(1) Set X has 6 elements, which are odd positive integers.

Set 1: 5,5,5,5,5,5.....Median= 5 .......Answer is Yes

Insufficient

(2) The smallest member of Set X is 1.

Clearly Insufficient

Combined 1 +2, we can see sets 2 & 3 give different answers

From S1, we know we have 6 elements so, (t3 + t4 )/2 will give us the median when these are arranged in ascending order.

From S2, we don’t get any information on the values, we need to calculate median. It just states 1 is the smallest number.

So, we can conclude that it is E, both statements are not sufficient to answer the question.
