I also have a part-time Master's degree in finance ( class of 2013 )
I took the GMAT the first time in February and a got 610 (43 Q, 31 V)
I took the GMAT for the second time, but it was worse.

( the Q was better , but the V was a disaster)
my question is as follows, do i have a chance to get in the HEC or IMD with my profil?
( i'm considering to do an MBA to switch from construction to finance and general management)
thanks a lot.
Nicki.
I'm no expert here, but generally speaking, a 610 is a low score for both schools. You would fall well behind their average GMAT's (around 670) and just at the bottom of their 80% range.
Having said that, people do get in at those schools with a 610, although it's not the general rule. Moreover, European schools tend to value your work experience a lot. If you can prove that you have held leadership positions both at work and in extracurricular activities, had a solid performance in undergrad and can craft compelling essays, you might have a shot. But your application would have to be perfectly executed, since you seem to have a good, but not stellar profile. Also, being from Marroco is a plus, it is not a highly competitive demographic.
If you can, I'd advise you to study hard and take the GMAT again. The effort to increase your score from a 610 to, let's say a 670, would be totally worth in your case, and people get that level of improvement all the time.
Hope it helps, good luck!
